The skill description provides information about the skill's power and the damage type it deals:
Red numbers indicate physical damage, violet numbers indicate magic damage, and green numbers may indicate pure damage or other effects such as healing, stat boosts, and more.
In the nearby brackets of a numeric value, you can see the stat that the skill scales with. To enable the detailed view and see the formula, according to which the numeric value is determined:
