Hero Wars: Dominion Era is a role-playing online fantasy game with PvP battles. Starting with the Campaign, you will progress through the game and unlock new mechanics.
If you are new to the game, this guide will help you navigate. You can also find beginner's guides on our official YouTube channel or ask other players for advice in the in-game chat or on our official Discord server.
Getting Started
As a new player, you should take into account three things: collecting the daily bonus rewards, raiding missions, and leveling up your characters. By prioritizing these activities, beginners can build a strong foundation in Hero Wars: Dominion Era.
1. Collecting Daily Bonus Rewards.
Daily bonus rewards provide players with valuable resources such as gold, Hero Soul Stones, emeralds, and energy. Consistently collecting these bonuses will contribute to your progress over time, so you can upgrade heroes, buy items, and stay competitive.
Raiding missions is an efficient way to gather EXP Potions and essential resources quickly. Raids allow completing Campaign missions instantly. They cost the same amount of energy as a manually completed mission. Once you achieve three stars in a mission, you can raid it.
The x1 raid option becomes available at VIP 1. Once you reach VIP level 5, you unlock repeated Instant Missions. This feature allows you to raid Campaign missions in bulk, either by spending all your energy or using the x3 or x10 options.
By raiding completed missions, you bypass the need to replay them manually but still gain the rewards. Raids help you earn gear, gold, and hero EXP — the resources you need to strengthen your team and prepare for more challenging battles.
Note: When you raid a mission, your heroes do not obtain experience directly. Instead, you receive EXP Potions, which are stored in your Inventory. You can use them to upgrade any hero of your choice.
3. Leveling Up Your Characters.
The game has two different level systems: team level and character level. Press the name of the level system you wish to learn more about.
Team level is the level of your game profile on a selected server. You unlock various game modes and mechanics by increasing your team level. The maximum team level is 130.
You can view your team level under your avatar in the upper-left corner of the main game screen:
To gain team experience:
- complete daily quests (e.g., Use Emerald Exchange 1 time, Complete 10 Missions, Complete 3 Heroic Missions, etc.);
- complete missions in the Campaign (the number of EXP points you receive depends on how much energy a mission costs; e.g., a mission for 12 energy points will bring you 12 EXP points).
To view how many team experience points you have on the current level or required to reach the next team level, tap on your avatar:
Each character in the game — a hero, titan, or pet — has its own level. Character level determines a character's stats. The higher the level, the more resources you need to raise it.
Leveling up your characters is fundamental to increasing their power. Higher-level heroes have better stats and can equip more advanced gear, making them more effective in combat.
Focus on leveling up a core team of heroes to ensure you have a balanced and formidable lineup capable of tackling various game modes, from Campaign missions to Arena battles.

Game Characters
Before you start your journey in Dominion, get acquainted with the beings that inhabit it. You will meet unique heroes, titans, and pets, who will help you progress through the game.
Resources
You need various resources to advance your characters and progress through the game. Some are essential for the game, and others are used to summon and enhance game characters. For example, you can summon heroes at the Soul Atrium and get artifacts from the Artifact Chest. You can also buy essential resources by spending game currencies in the shops. |
Battle
Battles are a vital part of gameplay. You can fight manually or on auto.
Note: The Arena and Grand Arena are exceptions, as all battles there are fully automatic.
In the manual mode, you decide when the first skills are activated (provided that heroes have enough energy). When you turn on the auto mode, the first skills are automatically activated once heroes have enough energy.
The second, the third, and the fourth skills are either passive or activate automatically in both modes.
Note: Heroes are automatically positioned on the battlefield based on their auto-attack range. You cannot manually adjust their positions.
Some game modes have battles between heroes, and others require a team of titans. How you combine characters in your team can be crucial to the outcome of the fight, so be mindful of your hero combinations. Game Modes
Each game mode has its own unique set of rules and gameplay mechanics, thus offering players a diverse range of experiences and valuable rewards.
Players can follow the main story through missions in the Campaign, fight other players in the Arena and Grand Arena, or even join forces with guildmates to compete in the Guild War and Clash of Worlds.
Note: Game modes unlock gradually when you reach certain team levels.
