The Campaign is the main game mode in Hero Wars: Dominion Era. It becomes available at the first level and consists of 15 Chapters and 218 missions. Here, you battle various opponents to gain team and hero EXP, earn Guild activity points, and obtain items required to increase hero rank.
You can enter the Campaign through the magic gates on the main game screen:
Mission Types
There are three Campaign mission types: regular missions, heroic missions, and boss fights.
|
Here, you face various monsters and heroes. The energy required to complete a regular mission varies from six to ten, depending on the Chapter. |
As a reward for completing a regular mission, you get gold, items, hero, and team experience. The number of attack attempts is unlimited.
| Here, you face various monsters and heroes. The energy required to complete a heroic mission varies from 12 to 20, depending on the Chapter. |
As a reward for completing a heroic mission, you get gold, items, hero, and team experience, and you may also receive a Soul Stone of the hero displayed on the mission.
The number of attack attempts is limited to three a day. You can use emeralds to get additional attacks. The number of attempts that you can purchase depends on your VIP level.
If you need help defeating a boss, press the corresponding name to find tips:
To beat Archdemon, you should take one tank, two damage dealers, and two supports or healers. At least one hero should have crowd-control abilities.
Besides, your team level needs to be 80 level or higher.
As Astrild can blind heroes, she can be a tricky boss if you try to beat her with a team full of physical damage dealers. A blinded hero misses any physical damage, either attacks or abilities.
Try gathering a team of heroes whose abilities are not affected by this negative effect, for example, those who deal magic damage.
As Shavarakk can silence heroes, he can be a tricky boss if you try to beat him with a team full of mages. A silenced hero cannot use any abilities except those that deal physical damage.
Try gathering a team of heroes whose abilities are not affected by silence, for example, those who deal physical damage.
Battles
Completing Campaign missions requires energy. The more difficult the mission, the more energy you need.
Each mission consists of three rounds, each lasting two minutes. The battle ends in defeat if the time expires during any of the rounds.
Each mission has a star rating, which depends on how many heroes are left alive at the end of a mission:
- all heroes are alive — 3 stars;
- one hero is defeated — 2 stars;
- two or more heroes are defeated — 1 star.
Once you complete a mission with three stars, you can raid it.
Raids
Raid allows completing missions instantly. It needs the same amount of energy as manually completed missions.
Note: When you raid a mission, your heroes do not obtain experience directly. Instead, acquired experience points are converted into EXP Potions that you can find in your Inventory. You can use them to upgrade any hero of your choice.
Raid options become available gradually and depend on your VIP level:
- The x1 raid option becomes available at VIP 1.
- Once you reach VIP level 5, you unlock repeated Instant Missions. This feature allows you to raid Campaign missions in bulk, either by spending all your energy or using the x3 or x10 options.
Bad Luck Protection
Every item has a different drop chance. The rarer the item, the lower the chance. Rarity depends on the color: white, green, blue, purple, orange, and red.
All Campaign missions have Bad Luck Protection. This feature guarantees that you have one of each item featured in the mission when using the x10 raid option.
The same rule applies for heroic missions, where you are guaranteed at least one Soul Stone when raiding x3.
Coolant Tank
Once you reach the Tank mission, you will need to gather Coolant to proceed to the next mission, the Technical Division.
You can receive Coolant only once a day by beating waves of opponents in the Tank mission. The day resets at 5:00 AM your in-game time zone.
The amount of Coolant you get depends on how many rivals you defeat in the Tank mission. However, you can earn a maximum of 45 Coolant points a day.
After you have filled the Tank with enough Coolant, you can access the next Campaign mission:
To spend the Coolant:
1. Open the Technical Division mission:
2. Press the Start button:
The Coolant will be spent only if you win the mission.
How to Beat Seymour
Seymour creates two Crystals on the battlefield before using his ultimate skill:
To interrupt its activation, destroy both Crystals before Seymour attacks you with the ultimate skill. You may need heroes who deal area damage to attack both Crystals at the same time.
