Guild War

You unlock Guild War together with the Guild feature at the team level 30. In Guild War, Guild Champions use teams of titans and heroes to destroy other Guilds' fortifications and receive points. The Guild that scores more points wins.

Participation Rules

A Guild can participate in the Guild War only if at least 10 of its positions are defended. To meet the requirement, the Guild Master or Generals need to select at least five Champions—members who can participate in the Guild War.

To become a Champion, you need to have at least three titans. Then, gather defense teams in the Guild menu. When it is set, you can ask your Guild Master or Generals to make you a Champion using the Guild chat or private messages.

Note: A player who has left or been kicked out of a Gold Guild cannot become Champion until the end of the current Guild War Season — Saturday, 8:00 PM UTC. This restriction does not apply to the Guild the player left.

Leagues

There are four Guild War leagues:

  • Gold league: 6 Guilds;
  • Silver league: 10 Guilds;
  • Bronze league: 30 Guilds;
  • Qualification league: all other Guilds on the server.

Qualifying, Bronze, and Silver league Guilds can have up to 15 Champions and 30 positions on the Guild War Map. Gold league Guilds can have 20 Champions and 40 positions.

Note: Each Champion gets two attack attempts. If a Silver Guild meets a Gold one in a transition match, several Gold Champions will not be able to use their attacks because there will be only 30 attempts for the whole Guild.

Battles

Guild War is held each day from Monday to Friday. It starts at 9:00 AM UTC and ends at 8:00 PM UTC.

Note: One hour before the beginning of the Guild War, the defenders' positions become fixed. Any changes made after that time will only apply to the next War.

You can battle both manually and on auto. Also, you can pause battles for two minutes. If you decide to skip a battle, it will be finished on auto.

Note: If you start a battle right before the end of a Guild War, it will be finished and affect the results.

When being under attack, a fortification slot becomes locked for up to three minutes. Once the battle ends, the position is unlocked. This feature prevents players from attacking the same position simultaneously.

If an opponent's fortification slot does not have a defense team, you can earn points for capturing it without spending an attack attempt. Just select the fortification slot and press Earn Points.

Map and Defense Planning

The hexes on the map represent titan teams, and the squares represent hero teams. Click a fortification to view the assigned teams.

gw assigned teams

Fortifications become available for attack consecutively:

  1. First, you can attack Mage Academy, Barracks, Lighthouse, and Bridge.
  2. Your Guild must defeat all three Bridge defender teams to gain access to the second zone. It includes Foundry, Spring of Elements, Bastion of Fire, Bastion of Ice, and Gates of Nature.
  3. To attack Citadel, your Guild must fully capture one of the fortifications: Gates of Nature, Bastion of Ice, or Bastion of Fire. It is not necessary to seize all these fortifications to breach the way to the Citadel.

Guild Master and Generals can plan the defense in the Plan tomorrow's defense tab.

gw tomorrow defense

Guild Master or Generals can assign Champions to any position in the fortifications. The Champions themselves can select a free position in one of the fortifications to place their team.

The player assigned to the attack will see a red dot above the fortification. To see the assignments of other Champions, click the fortification or open the list of targets by pressing the General Commands button.

Score and Ranking

The points earned in Guild War matches determine the Guild's placement in the ranking. You can find information on server leagues and current or previous week's results by clicking the Leagues button in the Guild War menu.

gw points

The number of points a player earns when attacking a position depends on the percentage of health they took from the opponent's team. The total number of points for capturing a fortification depends on the fortification type and the number of slots it has.

In the Qualification league, the maximum number of points a Guild can earn depends on the average level of their opponents' teams. The Guild earns 20 points for the complete elimination of a fortification slot. These points are then multiplied by the average level of the highest team level players from both Guilds.

For example, the average level of the highest-level participants in the first Guild is 83.8, and in the second Guild, it is 80. In this case, the earned points will be multiplied by (83.8 + 80) / 2 = 81.9.

In Bronze, Silver, and Gold leagues, Guilds earn 20 points for completely eliminating an opponent's fortification slot. There is no multiplication. So, there are 1,200 points maximum for Bronze and Silver, and 1,400 for Gold.

Results

Guild War Season weekly results are calculated every Friday after 8:00 PM UTC. If Guilds earn the same number of points during the Guild War Season, their places are determined according to the results of the previous week. Note that their league is not taken into account.

For example, if a Guild took first place the previous week, in the case of a draw, it would be the first in the current week as well. The same rule works when a Guild moves to a new league: if this Guild took first place the previous week and then moved to another league, in the case of a draw, it would also be one of the first in the new league the current week.

Based on a week's results, top and bottom ranking Guilds also fight for a chance to get into a higher league on Saturday.

Transition Matches

The transition matches from one league to another take place on Saturday. Depending on the position, Guilds fight to move up to a higher league or to keep their place in the current one.

Transition matches are formed based on the results of the week in reverse order: the first-place Guilds of the lower league will fight with the last-place Guilds in the upper league for their places.

  • The top six Guilds from the Qualifying league fight against the bottom six Guilds from the Bronze league.
  • The top four Guilds from the Bronze league fight against the bottom four Guilds from the Silver league.
  • The top three Guilds from the Silver league fight against the bottom three Guilds from the Gold league.

Note: There are two reasons why you might have no transition match:

  1. Your Guild ranked in the middle of your league this week.
  2. You ranked in the top/bottom, but the opposing Guild was disbanded. In this case, your Guild will move to a higher league automatically.

The victorious attacking Guild does not necessarily take the position of the defeated one. The new place depends on the number of vacant spots in the new league and the Guild's ranking in the previous league.

Note: Each Champion gets two attack attempts. If a Silver Guild meets a Gold one in a transition match, several Gold Champions will not be able to use their attacks because there will be only 30 attempts for the whole Guild.

Click the Leagues button in the Guild War menu to check how many Guilds take part in the transition matches (1). Here you can also see what top Guilds are to fight in the transition matches: they have a green arrow next to their banner (2).

The transition of a Guild from one league to another takes place on Saturday night after the end of transition matches. If a transition match ends in a draw, both Guilds stay in their leagues.

Rewards

You can view all possible weekly and daily rewards by clicking the Rewards button in the Leagues tab.

gw rewards

Guild members receive Guild War Trophies by mail:

  • From Monday to Friday, all Guild members receive a reward at the end of the day if their Guild has participated in a daily Guild War match. This reward depends on the match results and the player's Champion status.
  • At the end of the week, all Guild members receive a reward based on the Guild's ranking.

Note: In the transition matches on Saturdays, Guilds defend their place in the league or fight to move to a higher league. So, no Trophies are granted after them.

There are three types of Trophies:

coin_guild_gold.png Gold Guild War Trophies are granted only to the Gold league Guilds.
coin_guild_silver.png Silver Guild War Trophies are granted to the Silver and Gold league Guilds.
coin_guild_bronze.png Bronze Guild War Trophies are granted to Guilds of any league.

You can exchange Gold Trophies for Silver and Silver Trophies for Bronze, but not vice versa. To make an exchange, visit the Guild War Shop.

FAQ

Here are answers to frequently asked questions about Guild Wars.

How can I become a Champion?

To become a Champion, you need to set your defending teams and ask your Guild Master or Generals via the Guild chat or personal messages to make you a Champion.

Open the Guild War menu and click Gather team to set your defending team. After that, select the desired characters and press OK.

How can I exchange Guild War Trophies?

You can exchange Gold trophies for Silver and Silver trophies for Bronze, but not vice versa. To make an exchange, visit the Guild War Shop.

Why was the Citadel attacked before all other fortifications had been captured?

It is enough to capture one of the Bastions to attack the Citadel. It is not required to capture all the fortifications.

Why has another Guild ranked higher than us, though we won every battle in the Guild War?

In the Qualifying league, the number of points received is based on the average team level of the participating Champions. The stronger your opponents, the more points you receive when you win against them.

If another Guild has ended up higher in the rankings, it means that they fought and won against stronger opponents than yours.

Why does our Guild have no Guild War on Saturday?

The standard Guild War week starts on Monday and ends on Friday. Only transition matches take place on Saturday. In these matches, top Guilds from every league, except the Gold one, fight against bottom Guilds from higher leagues to promote to a higher rank.

There are two reasons why you might have no transition match:

  1. The opposing Guild was disbanded, and your Guild will move to a higher league automatically.
  2. Your Guild ranked in the middle of your league this week.
Why can't I make my guildmate a Champion?

A player who has left or has been kicked out of a Gold league Guild cannot become a Champion in a new Guild until the end of the current Guild War Season — Saturday, 8:00 PM UTC.

Why can't I assign a Champion to a position?

One hour before the beginning of the Guild War at 8:00 AM UTC, the defenders' positions become fixed. Any changes made after that time will only apply to the next War.

How do we fight if all the slots of the rival's fortifications are empty?

This means that the opposing Guild was disbanded. Press each fortification to get points.
