Totems

Totem is arguably the most powerful entity in the game. There are five totems in the game: Water Spirit Totem, Fire Spirit Totem, Earth Spirit Totem, Dark Spirit Totem, and Light Spirit Totem.

Totem Types

waterTotem.png

Water Spirit Totem heals all allied titans and deals damage to nearby opponents for 10 seconds with each activation. The amount of damage dealt and health restored is fixed and calculated according to the totem's level and evolution.

If more than one titan needs healing, the totem will split the health restoration amount among them. E.g., if the Water Spirit Totem restores 3,000 points, and three titans need healing, then the totem will equally divide this amount among them: each titan will be healed for 1,000 health points.

In addition, the Water Spirit Totem boosts the attack stat of your water titans.

fireTotem.png

Fire Spirit Totem summons a fiery storm that sweeps through the rival team and deals damage to nearby opponents.

In addition, the Fire Spirit Totem boosts the attack stat of your fire titans.

earthTotem.png

Earth Spirit Totem creates a crystal barrier on the battlefield. The barrier protects all allies from any attacks. Every time a barrier takes damage, it loses durability. It also reflects double the damage received back to the attacking opponents.

In addition, the Earth Spirit Totem provides bonus health to your earth titans.

darkTotem.png

Dark Spirit Totem conjures a black hole in the center of the rival team. The black hole drags in rival titans and damages them for 5 seconds. The closer the target is to the center of the black hole, the more damage it takes.

In addition, the Dark Spirit Totem provides bonus health to your dark titans.

lightTotem.png

Light Spirit Totem conjures a supernova. It charges for 5 seconds, during which allied titans' health cannot drop below 1. After that, the supernova explodes and damages all rival titans.

In addition, the Light Spirit Totem boosts the attack stat of your light titans.

Note: To activate Water, Fire, and Earth Spirit Totems, you need to have at least three titans of the same element in the battle. Summoner titans, such as Verdoc and Phyto, count as two titans even though they appear as a single combat unit. For this reason, you can bring only two titans of the same element into battle, as long as one of them is a summoner, and the totem will still be activated.

Light and Darkness Spirit Totems require only two titans of the corresponding element, regardless of their role.

The attack and health bonuses provided by totems remain active even if you do not summon them to the battlefield.

Totem Skills

Each totem has two skill types: a Base Skill and an Affinity Skill.

1. A Base Skill is unique to each totem and available immediately after you get a totem. The skill description is located in the upper part of the totem screen.

totem base skill.png

In battle, this skill activates once the totem reaches 100% energy. To upgrade the Base Skill, level up and evolve your totem.

2. Affinity Skills are not unique and can be crafted for any totem. Note that each skill must be crafted separately for each totem. We cover how to create Affinity Skills in the next section.

The Affinity Skills are further divided into two categories.

  1. Elemental Skills affect the entire team and have no cooldown unless specified in their description. There are six Elemental Skills.
  2. Primal Skills are triggered for individual titans under the described conditions and have their own cooldowns. There are five Primal Skills.

Because every totem can access all Affinity Skills, they may end up using the same ones. Press the question below to learn how it is handled in battle.

What if two totems with the same skill participate in battle?

If two totems with the same skill participate in battle, the one with the higher rank will be activated.

If the skill ranks are the same, the totem with higher power will activate the skill.

If the power is also the same, the totem is determined by the elemental priority: water → fire → earth → dark → light. For example, in this lineup, the Earth totem will activate the skill because earth is higher than dark in the priority order.

The effectiveness of Affinity Skills is determined by:

  • their rank (ranging from I to V);
  • the power of the totem to which you are trying to assign the skill.

To access the Affinity Skills, press Fusion in the lower-right corner of the totem screen:

How to Craft Affinity Skills

To craft an Affinity Skill for an empty slot, open the Elemental Spirit Fusion. Press Fusion in the lower-right corner of the totem screen, select an empty slot, and choose a skill you would like to create.

To attempt to get a higher rank of the already assigned skill or change the skill to another, you also need to press Fusion in the lower-right corner of the totem screen, but then select an already filled slot and choose a skill.

The new skill will replace the current one, permanently removing it.

Note: Though you can select the skill you want to craft, the final result—both the skill and its rank—is random. So, for example, when trying to replace the rank III skill, there might be a situation where the chance to roll rank II is higher.

Once you have selected a skill, Catalysts come into play. Press the resource name below to open the description.

Elemental Catalyst
elemental catalyst.png Elemental Catalysts are used to craft Elemental Skills. You can earn them in Special Seasons or exchange totem fragments and Totem Spheres for them in your Inventory at a rate of 1 totem fragment / Totem Sphere = 350 Elemental Catalysts.

To exchange a resource:

  1. Open the All tab in your Inventory.
  2. Select a fragment or Sphere.
  3. Press the Transform button.

Primal Catalyst
primal catalyst.png Primal Catalysts are used to craft Primal Skills. You can earn them in Special Seasons or exchange Gifts of Dominion for them in your Inventory.

The exchange rate depends on the Gift of Dominion type:

  • Uncommon Gift of Dominion = 2 Primal Catalysts;
  • Rare Gift of Dominion = 5 Primal Catalysts;
  • Epic Gift of Dominion = 45 Primal Catalysts;
  • Legendary Gift of Dominion = 135 Primal Catalysts;
  • Gift of Dominion (red) = 225 Primal Catalysts.

To exchange a Gift of Dominion:

  1. Open the Consumable tab in your Inventory.
  2. Select the Gift of Dominion and press Transform.

You can spend between 10 and 100 Catalysts on each Skill Fusion attempt: the more Catalysts you use, the better the chances. You can view the chance prediction as you add Catalysts:

totemcraft prediction.png
  1. The skill itself. When creating a skill, there is a chance to receive a random skill instead of the selected one. However, the more Catalysts you use, the lower the possibility of getting a random result.
  2. The skill rank. Each Affinity Skill has five ranks. The number of Catalysts invested determines the possible skill rank: the more you use, the higher your chances of obtaining a better rank.

However, you can always use Crystallized Might. It guarantees that you receive the selected skill and also upgrades it by one rank. Press the resource name below to learn how to get and use it.

Crystallized Might
catalyzed might.png Crystallized Might guarantees that the selected skill will be granted and upgraded by one rank.

To obtain Crystallized Might, you need to earn 3000 points by spending Catalysts. You gain points at this rate:

  • 5 points for every 5 Elemental Catalysts used;
  • 2 points for every 5 Primal Catalysts used.

You can view the Crystallized Might progress bar in the right part of the Skill Fusion screen:

Note: Once you have obtained Crystallized Might, the points stop accumulating until you use the resource. Thus, you can only hold one Crystallized Might at a time.

Once ready, Crystallized Might goes to your Inventory, and the option to use it unlocks. You can now choose whether to use (1) Catalysts or (2) Crystallized Might for your next fusion:

totemcraft catalyzed might or catalysts.png

You can use Crystallized Might:

  • To craft a skill for an empty slot. This way, you are guaranteed to receive the selected skill of rank I.
  • To change an already crafted skill and increase its rank by one (rank V is the maximum and cannot be further increased). So, you can either upgrade the already added skill by one rank or change it for a completely new one, which will be a rank higher than the current skill.

Note: To secure the desired skill, you can use Crystallized Might instead of Catalysts when crafting a skill for an empty slot. However, it will grant a rank I skill, which already has a high drop chance. Therefore, using Crystallized Might may be more efficient when upgrading an existing skill or changing it to a new one, rather than during initial crafting.

Before confirming your choice, you will also see a notification with the drop prediction:

Once the fusion is complete, you can cancel (1), accept (2), or delay (3) the result.

totemcraft result choice.png

Note: Catalysts and Crystallized Might are spent regardless of whether you accept or cancel the fusion.

If you choose to delay, the previous result remains active until you return to the Fusion complete! screen and decide. You will not be able to craft other skills, neither for the selected totem nor for any others, until you make a decision.

How to Get Totems

There are two main ways to get a totem fragment in the game.

1. Receive a totem fragment from Titan Artifact Spheres at the Altar of the Elements.

If you get a totem fragment by opening a regular Titan Artifact Sphere titan_artifact_sphere.png, you will still advance to the next step in the Bad Luck Protection system. However, the number of spent emeralds will remain unchanged.

For example, you have two totem fragments and spend 45,000 emeralds at the Altar of Elements. After receiving a totem from a Titan Artifact Sphere titan_artifact_sphere.png, the number of spent emeralds will still be 45,000, and the next totem will drop when you spend 850,000 emeralds.

Note: Once you have collected all 100 totem fragments from the Altar of the Elements, they will no longer drop from it. However, you can still obtain totem fragments through other means, e.g., from a Totem Sphere as a Season reward, event reward, etc.

2. Receive a totem fragment from Totem Spheres.

Totem Spheres are available as a reward in special events or a Special Season. There are seven types of Totem Spheres.

Lesser_Elemental_Spirit_Summoning_Sphere.png Lesser Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a random totem fragment of Water, Fire, or Earth. As a fragment drops randomly, you cannot select its element.
Elemental_Spirit_Summoning_Sphere.png Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a totem fragment of Water, Fire, or Earth. You can select the element of the fragment.
Dark_Spirit_Summoning_Sphere.png Dark Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a totem fragment of Darkness.
Light_Spirit_Summoning_Sphere.png Light Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a totem fragment of Light.
Ancient_Elemental_Spirit_Summoning_Sphere.png Ancient Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a random totem fragment of Light or Darkness. As a fragment drops randomly, you cannot select its element.
Lesser_Absolute_Spirit_Summoning_Sphere.png Lesser Absolute Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a random totem fragment of Water, Fire, Earth, Light, or Darkness. As a fragment drops randomly, you cannot select its element.
totem_sphere_gold_upgrade.png Absolute Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere gives you a totem fragment of Water, Fire, Earth, Light, or Darkness. You can select the element of the fragment.

When you receive a totem fragment from any Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere, you advance to the next step in the Bad Luck Protection system. The number of spent emeralds also changes to the next guaranteed threshold.

For example, you have two totem fragments and spend 45,000 emeralds at the Altar of Elements. Upon opening a Totem Sphere, the number of spent emeralds will automatically change from 45,000 to 466,667. The next totem will drop on the next threshold when the number of spent emeralds reaches 850,000.

Note: Only the first two totem fragments that you get at the Altar of the Elements or from a Totem Sphere match the strongest element of your titans. For example, if your water titans' power exceeds the power of the other elements, you will receive water totem fragments the first two times. All subsequent fragments will be of a random element.

This rule does not apply to the Lesser Absolute Spirit Summoning Sphere. The first two fragments from this Totem Sphere will also be of a random element.
