This article takes a closer look at the Base Skills of totems and how they work.
The Base Skill is unique to each totem and available immediately after you get a totem. You can find the skill description in the upper part of the totem screen.
To upgrade the Base Skill, level up and evolve your totem.
To activate its Base Skill, a totem needs to reach 100% energy. In manual combat mode, totems continue to accumulate energy until you activate them, allowing you to charge them even further. The skill description shows the damage dealt at the 100% charge, but charging beyond that increases the attack's power even more.
Let us take the fire totem at maximum evolution and level as an example:
- At 100% energy, the damage is as stated in the skill description — 1,659,461.
- If the totem charges to 120%, it deals 20% more damage, resulting in 1,991,353.
Totems do not have Elemental Damage bonuses (increased attack according to the Element Cycle) like titans. However, titans are protected by Elemental Armor against totems. You can find more details about Elemental Damage and Armor in this article.
For example, water titans have extra defense against fire attacks. As a result, the fire totem's base skill deals reduced damage against water titans.
Let us take a look at totems' Base Skills and their descriptions.
| Age of Flames — the fire totem's skill. Summons a flame that sweeps through the opponent team and deals damage to the nearest rivals. |
| Blessing of the Deep — the water totem's skill. Heals allied titans and deals damage to the near opponents. The amount of healing specified in the description is evenly distributed among all damaged allies. If only one titan is damaged, it receives the full healing amount. |
| Song of Ancient Mountains — the earth totem's skill. Creates a barrier that protects all allies from attacks. It loses durability when damaged, but reflects twice the damage received back to opponents. |
Song of Ancient Mountains reflects damage back to the source that inflicted it. Therefore, it will not reflect damage from totem skills, since totems themselves cannot take damage.
| Black Hole — the dark totem's skill. Conjures a Black Hole in the center of the opponent team, which drags in titans, damaging them for 5 seconds. |
| Supernova — the light totem's skill. Conjures a Supernova on the battlefield, which constricts over the course of 5 seconds. During that time, allied titans' health can't drop below 1. After that, the Supernova explodes, damaging all opponents. |
